I just wanna run, hide it away
The wind shifted around the area as the large brute entered. World was blurred for the poor brute, nearly blind and he used his wind to sense the objects around him. He stood at 17 hands and was a large muscled fellow. Truly, he was bred to be a warrior. Even the marking on his facial features resembled a helmet donned on his skull. Oh but to see the glorious beast in his full armor. It was a marvelous sight to be sure. Though it made him sick to his stomach to think of war much anymore, it was his life, his job.
Optics could peer at the things just in front of him, so he could view the large trees that lingered over him. Colors also stood out quite clear to him, but the only thing he could see was green all around. Using his element all that he could sense nearby were trees, so perhaps today was a slow day in these meadows, which was for the best. He enjoyed just soaking up the sun and having quiet moments.
Large daggers stopped their forward procession and collapsed beneath him. His lion like tail lifted and then curled around him, such as a cat would. Next followed his skull, which fell heavily to the ground. Horn was perched high enough on his skull that he was able to not have it cumber him as he lay.
The sun burned bright overhead and his black pelt grew warm. As a manipulator of the wind, he was able to conjure up a breeze to graze his skin lightly. He cooled nearly instantly and sighed. Today was a good day. There was little that could make it better than it had been thus far.

wind whistled through the trees drawing the vixen near, banner lashed out like a peace treaty. the ivory colored silk in which coated the dampening bodice of the mare swished in the happy breeze bringing a bubbly feel into the chest of her. the maiden was dressed in azul beading, in which weaved throughout her rich tail and long flowing mane. the mare was certaintly something to look at until you stared past the lithe arabian cross bodice and noted the black lightning like marking on the side of her cranium, the flopped ears, and the extra set of legs. she was the light and darkness, ying and yang, kind and evil.
it may have been an odd sight, the six legged mare bounding through the untainted lands. strangly enough snow had not touch these lands, and it felt good to feel sunshine again. already Claudette had warmed to the idea of relaxing awhile and playing in the wind, her darker side thought it would be best to leave, find a place safer, but these woods were filled with such a safe feel, was it possible that it held evils? lost in thought the mare hardly noticed the grass growing thinner and longer as she entered a part of the wood in which seemed to be near perfect for grazing. plain and simple brown optics closed and she lowered her maw and ate with urgency. as though she hadn't tasted such treasures. it was then in the process of eating as much as possible she lipped a fuzzy object.
raising her sculpted dome and flicking her flopped ears back , [ if you wanna see her ears click here of course she can flick them forward butt... ] what she expected to see was a rabbit, or chipmonk, certaintly not a Ailee Stallion. startled the mare fell back into a sitting position, her ears moving curiously back and forth but always returning to there normal position on either side of her head. rather then stepping back the mare cocked her head to the side and looked at him, he was an odd duckling just as she, but his looks worked. ebon features made the green stand out, and his eyes were simple and enchanting. lips peeled back and she flashed him a grin, well at least the closest thing to a grin a horse could muster. the vixen cleared her throat before speaking, "Hello There."

I just wanna run, hide it away
Skull lifted from the ground that it rested on instantly in alarm. Nostrils flared and he attempted to smell the perpetrator that had just nibbled at his tail. He used his wind to blow the scent towards him as he looked blindly in the direction that the figure should be. He picked up the musk of a female quite easily and next came her voice. It had been long since James had spoken to another equine, he preferred it that way honestly. It was much harder to lose someone when you knew them. Let alone watch them die in combat while you can do nothing but blindly search for the source.
"Hello?" He answered but one could easily distinguish the question mark at the end of his sentence. His voice was not deep and rich, or beautiful, just a simple voice of a stag. There was no boom that would make one terrified, as you would suspect with a stud of his size. Perhaps it was the reason most did not fear him. Though it did rasp from the long periods he went without using it. Almost a gravely sound.
He wished desperately that he could view this creature that had spoken to him. Her color, he could view. It was quite vibrant and she appeared to be beautiful, but his orbs could not possibly spy the actual facial features or bodice very clearly. He could tell she was a fleur because of the wonderful smell that radiated from her. But he also could spy the floppy ears of a Cheeval, which confused him. Fleur's and Cheevals weren't known to get along. And Cheevals seemed to keep to their own, only breeding amongst themselves. To add upon everything he could notice an extra set of legs that rested on the females bodice. How crossed up with all the species she was. Perhaps her parents had wanted to create her just so see what they would get.
Perhaps she was beautiful with all these things combined. But he assumed that most would shy away from a genetic monster such as she. He was a warrior, he had thought he'd seen it all, but he hadn't. Though he wasn't about to avoid the fae completely. She wanted to talk, he would talk.
"Did you nip my tail?" He questioned.

She couldnt hold back a laugh when his hello came out as a question, she was never really good at composing herself in generally. It was the way the Brutus said I that made her giggle, the sound soft with a hint of a rasp. It was an odd sound that peeled from the vixens lips, but odd noises coming from an odd creature made sense, didnt it? The ivory bid was quite the ugly duckling, while some may have found her outer looks appealing but they didn't know what genetics ran through her bones and made her , her. So with a soft smile she answered his question again win a "hello".
Daylight was dimming as the sun allowed it's final rays to hit the duo, his smokey ebon coat glistening in the rays of sunlight that touch them. The mare found it strange that wind blew around her, teasing her mane and tail. Was he bending the air, or was it just a windy day? It seemed logical that he was the one bending it, he was an Ailee after all. Yet it confused her why he was still using his abilities, was he toying with her? A question bubbled up for inside her, it was itching to get out and at that moment she knew it was going to come out one way or another. "Why are you bending the air? Is something wrong?"
Her voice was soft and slightly concerned but she made no movement from her sitting position. It was odd for a horse to sit down, but Claudette found the position comfortable. She listened to his question another giggle peeling from pale lips, with a small grin she spoke the answer, "Yessiree, sorry 'bout that 'sir." her voice was soft as she shook a strand of forelock out of her line of sight.

Aud flicked back toward her as she made a sound similar to a squeal. Was she laughing at him? Did she really even have a reason to laugh at the brute who had said hello? Perhaps the fact that he was nearly blind was the part that amused her. This worried him. Maybe she was a crazed fae who would try and inflict pain. There were many out there who would enjoy trying to defeat one much bigger than them, and James was a perfect example of that type of stud.
He jumped to his feet and backed a few paces from the fae, looking at her curiously. Now that he was facing her he could make out a few more details of the features that he had seen slightly before. She had all the different genetic backgrounds that he had thought she had, and even had flowers braid into her lovely locks. This led him to the conclusion that maybe she was a nymph or maybe she was a shape shifter, or hell, she could even be a demented nightmare-like creature who only messed with studs before she eventually ate them. Or he supposed, she could be a normal genetic disaster, wanted by no one. Yea, that was always a good choice too.
She asked about him bending the air and his eyebrows knit together and he frowned. "I don't know what you are referring to." He said. Best to not just tell random strangers that he was not quite well endowed in the vision area. His training as a soldier had told him that it would be a stupid idea just to let them know your weakness right away before you know their motives would be a death wish also. James quite liked living actually, he liked fighting for his life too.
She sat. How odd. This mare just kept getting weirder and weirder. It was not common to see a fae just plop down on the ground and stare at her conversation partner. Maybe all the breeds in the land combined would make a confused equine. He must remember that for further confrontation with more ones of her sort. "Oh it's quite alright, I was just confused as to why one would bite something so clearly not grass." He smiled slightly, but it dropped almost instantly.

to her, he seemed like quite the gentleman. not only had he not run from her odd looks but he also didn't look as though he was about ready leap away from there conversation. even though he wasn't really giving the chatty vix something to talk about. the grass tickled the low of her back, her tail thumping against the ground, casually hitting her side. the deep blue roses that were threaded through her tail didn't appear to be crushed, nor withered, they still held there tight bulb like structure. ears flopping forward she listened to him speak, shrugging at his statement.
if it wasn't him bending the air then today must be quite windy, not something to odd to see this late in winter. but still, Claudette couldn't shake the feeling that he was the one controlling the air around them. shivering lightly against the pull of the breeze claudette watched the rather large brutus stand. he was taller then she, quite obviously, seeing how the mare hardly made it to fifteen hands herself. when the black stallion stepped several steps back she wondered if he would run, if he would cower away as though she was a virus, or even worse, a nightmare.
shaking her pale cranium the mare stood to meet his challenge, her small frame not much of a threat, listening to the brute speak she mentally raised an eyebrow. did she look that dimwitted? swallowing a laugh in which had begun to bubble in her throat she stared at him with unblinking orbs. what did he think she was? blue flowers slowly began to close as the night sky settled in, the buds were beautiful and glowed along with the large moon. it seemed as though time flew, last time the vix knew it was morning.
"i do apologize, i never meant to bite your... tail." allowing a grin to peel through her lips she stepped forward, all six legs of her nearly tumbling to the ground. she was quite clumsy, even at the age of seven. "i'm Claudette," she disliked introductions, so she put her name out there, seeing how he obviously couldn't care less about it. brown eyes meeting teal, she gave him the silent challenge of giving her, his name.

Her ears drew his attention as finally some details were focusing. They flopped like a donkey's, long and awkward. He felt awkward yet again around her. But she seemed friendly, not quite the warlike freak that he had first assumed. So he relaxed, but kept his useless orbs and his wind on her, knowing her every movement.
The sun was sinking into the horizon and he was beginning to grow tired. Thus was the reason he had been resting just moments before. He liked to be in his rest site before the sun went down. This enabled him to know his surroundings before his eyes were completely useless. Apparently that wasn't going to be the case today, and it freaked him out a little. He was a warrior, he didn't like surprises, and he liked to feel comfortable.
She apologized but the apology felt more like she was making fun of him. She had a similar tail to his, so how could she mock it? Truly he did not like this female, but he was not one to go about making fun of a fae or treating her like dirt. Fae's in this world went through enough as it was, he had no reason to be a jerk to any of them.
"James." He replied simply. Tail swished as he moved it up and down, the wind tickling the feathers of his hooves and the hair on his mane and tail. Stud stood normally, his back leg resting, shifting his weight to his other side. Head nearly drooped along with his orbs, but it didn't matter if his lids were shut or not because they did him no good anyway.
