The Toxic Paint
(Best picture I could find)
It should be noted that toxic paints should never be sought out, nor followed, or annoyed by any means, unless you have the slaying power or psychic power to bring this beast to their knees. They are deadly when encountered, though perhaps they're just looking for someone to talk to.
------
Toxic Paints were created quite recently, ever since chimaeras and nightmares have escaped into the realms of Equinopia. The nightmares were one of the founding sources in toxic paints, because unlike the chimaeras they do not only lust for blood, but rather for some entertainment, usually found in the young fillies traversing the lands. Toxic Paints were the result when nightmares began to force themselves upon the young mares of mainly unicorns and pegasi, and their blood mingled with the genes to produce horses with up to three different colours, all in a pinto pattern. They all vary in additional parts: the result of a nightmare forcing a unicorn would give the foal a horn, a pegasi x nightmare would have a toxic paint with wings, ect.
Toxic Paints, with their paralyzing eyes and terrifying demenour, are actual just confused. When they're born, everyone runs from them, they're abandoned, some killed as soon as they hit the ground. They grow to hate all of the horses around them: the horses who attacked them as a foal, the horses who didn't step in to help them. They just grow up evil from the start, and all toxic paints have the "death" element. Toxic Paints do not force mares, because they do have some sense and wouldn't want a foal to grow like they did. Many have deformations from being attacked as a foal. But, many just don't know why they're hated, and they may be befriended if one took the time to look past the bloodthirst and anger and truly see what equine souls lies within.
