dress me up *} I am a lovely, graceful creature, for I am the moon itself. My skin seems to radiate the light of the moon which such an unearthly and almost icy appearance with a bay coat that covers my bodice. My locks are that of a pure white that cascade down my withers and limbs. I stand at 16 hands, making me shorter than my deity predecessors. A crown of the crescent moon is strung around my tiara, letting all know who I am.

dress rehersal*} Selene is my calling and I am the moon, as stated before. I am of regal blood, that before the Greeks who have taken completely over. Because of this I am a bit of a catch in most eyes. Who would not want to seduce a goddess of such fragile pureness? But I am not pure what so ever. I have had my fair share of lovers. I am often known as a passionate and selfless character. I devote all that I have to my lover at the time, or anything that "makes my heart sing." I have only had one that I have loved so much for their beauty, a mortal. Though I am so passionate, I fear that I will be abandoned one day. This leads to my streak of unfaithfulness to just one partner. I am a smart girl, but I am not a trickster like you may think. I am a sad and humble person who was easily misled by the promise of an Oxen, but I will divulge that information later.

cut in half*} Why would I not be good for the water? For I am the one who controls the tides at my pleasing. Without me, we would not have such things. Assume I should decide to not bring in the tide one day? could you imagine the consequences of those actions? Though I do quite love the water. It is where I first started my journey as the moon. After washing myself in Oceanus, I am able to start my night journey. Water has always been apart of me just as I have been apart of it.

Selene was moon Goddess of the ancient Greeks and influenced the lunar cycles. She was traditionally worshiped on the full and new moon. She was the Titan personification of the moon itself unlike the later moon Goddesses Hecate and Artemis.

She was daughter of the Titans Theia and Hyperion and had two siblings Helios (the sun God) and Eos (the goddess of the dawn). She had a number of lovers, most famously falling for the mortal Endymion. In this affair she is unable to come to terms with the fact that he would age and die. A spell was cast on Endymion to grant him everlasting youth by placing him into a deep sleep. This did not prevent the Goddess from visiting him and having fifty of his children (This number represents the number of lunar months between each Olympiad).

This Goddess also had a daughter Pandeia after an affair with Zeus. This serial seductress is also linked to Pan who gave her the Oxen.
