history .
History has it that a Kelpie is a beast of seduction and temptation. Yet it the case of Suiren's parents history and all that was known was turned inside out and upside down. It was Kesha, Suiren's dam, who seduced Tork the vicious Kelpie of the White Rush River. Many eons ago Tork's ancestors had left the sea top become river dwelling beasts and had ever since been a great threat to those who used the river. Tork fullfilled his nature and continued to torment the creatures that dwelled around his river once it was passed onto him. One blazing summer, the Kelpie male was deep in his river when a beauty, lit up with the shimmering gold of the sun, danced upon his riverbank. Kesha, a stunning gold Akhal Teke danced for Tork, the river Kelpie, ensnaring him. He wanted her from that day yet the equine mare knew better then to approach too close or on a day that was filled with rain. So she taunted him and teased him, keeping his attention while her herd were able to drink from the waters without the monster waiting to snatch them. He was bewitched. Her slim lined beauty and grace. Her quick and sharp wit when they exchanged banter. When she was not preforming for his attentions, he followed the herd as much as he could along his river, watching her. His finned forelegs and fishtail hindquarters provided the land horses with safety from his lurking presence. Yet his mind did not focus on his malice nature when he gazed upon her. He watched how she loved everyone she came in contact with and longed for her love too. York was unsure how these feelings filled his chest but he could never shake them. So he watched, she danced, too few words were passed between them for his liking. Yet a day came upon their lives which changed both futures. Kira, Kesha's youngest sister, a mere slip of a filly separated momentarily from her family in a bad rainstorm. She slipped from the riverbank into White Rush River, her cry of alarm alerting her herd to her peril. Kesha's mother sobbed when she realized her baby had been taken by the river. It was the perfect weather for the river Kelpie and it had been a many while since he had had horse flesh. Yet as the herd stood, heads drooping with despair, the river surface parted and the great behemoth that was the Kelpie threw himself upon the shore, he and the small figure along side being propelled by a wave that was made by his own bending skills. Kira coughed and gasped and the Kelpie flopped, trying to get back to his beloved water. The herd grabbed for their filly while Kesha ran to aid Tork. From the first moment she stepped in the river with him the two hardly left each others side. Kesha came to appreciate the beauty of Tork's world and Tork learnt compassion and peace. That is when the two were blessed with a daughter.
And so Suiren was born.
Suiren was born lucky. Extreamly so. Her parents had travelled some distance to the open sea and had mated in the deeper waters due to her fathers form yet her mother had birthed her on land. The riverbank just in case. Yet the small filly emerged with four neat little legs and the ability to live out of water. Yet she had not nearly escaped her fathers genes. She was a stunning array of colors and due to her sire's natural scale sheen and her mother's glossy coat Suiren seemed to shimmer and shine with every movement. Her father had also passed on certain physical qualities that enabled her to be one with the water. Somewhat shunned by the other, plain equine foals, Suiren spent most of her time with the river, or her parents. Her mother taught her to control the savage Kelpie blood that coursed through her veins while Tork taught her how to swim and bend that water. Due to the mixed blood in her veins, Suiren could never master water bending like her father yet she became somewhat skilled at the smaller tricks. So she grew and learned. Due to her blood lust that never truly did fade, her mother kept her from their herd for most of the time. Due to this Suiren became a bit of a lone wolf and in the end, when she reached three years of age she left all that she knew and made for the sea. Long and far she traveled until reaching a land that just felt right.
personality .
Due to her crossed blood and her mother belonging to a herd of normal horses, Suiren was somewhat excluded and so grew up with herself being her main form or company. This one wolf attitude has seen her into adulthood and she has never formed any friendships of love interests. She is chirpy and friendly enough, though one can never be sure if that is just the Kelpie in her trying to lure you into being another victim. While her mother taught her compassion and love, just like her father a full blooded Kelpie had been taught, Suiren always feels the Kelpie blood thirst under her skin. She has taken part in the Kelpie way of luring unsuspecting creatures, horses and other animals alike, to their watery graves. An eater of both flesh and grass, Suiren goes where she pleases and does what she wants. Though secretly she makes no connections to others for fear of rejection for her crossed breeding. Oh and also because of the sometime urge to rip apart their flesh and eat them
looks .
While her father was gigantic and powerful, her mother was slim lined and dainty. Suiren's body has been graced with her mother's genes and she is quite streamlined and sleek. Yet for such a slender looking minx she can pack quite the punch! To go with her sleek appearance her multi-hued coat shimmers and shines like you are looking at her underwater at all times. There is never a dull moment around Suiren. Her hide is mainly a aqua color with a dappling of scale like patterning in dark blue along her back and over her hindquarters and she has light lilac points, mainly around her muzzle, ear tips and leg fins. Thats right, leg fins. Her fins are more webbing then actual fins. Lilac tinged webbing connects her elbows to her barrel and her stifle to her belly. Like traditional kelpies, she is graced with a horn. Two actually. Neither are large or that impressive. The larger of the two sits where a traditional unicorn horn would be, right in the center of her forehead, while the other, just under half the size of the first, is a little further down by about three centimeters. Both horns are short, slender yet blunt with a lilac tinge. Her teeth are not fangs like true, full blooded Kelpies yet they are sharper then most other breeds. Also, like traditional Kelpies she has the sticky like skin could potentially become dangerous to a land horse. To accompany this passed on gene is a mane that is constantly wet despite is she is on land or not and the heat of the day and a coat that always seems so sleek and wet. These are very telltale signs of what she is, and is a fair warning to those that while she may be beautiful, she is a brutal savage underneath it all.
why . Coz she is perty Also because she is a true water horse. She loves the water and loves connecting with her Kelpie side
